Community Outreach Initiatives
Is your organization concerned about teen substance use and mental health? The more we understand about prevention and early intervention of addiction, we are better able to support those struggling with substance use and their loved ones. BELA Recovery offers a variety of presentations, workshops, conferences and free consultations for those wishing to be more informed about how to address, prevent, and treat, substance use disorders or other behavioral changes individual wish to make in their lives.
Presentations
Our staff can provide brief presentations for schools, professional organizations and community groups. Topics range from adolescent substance use, impact of addiction on the family, co-occurring disorders, stress management and more.
Workshops
We can provide your school, professional or community group with half-day, full day, and 2-3 day workshops on topics such as recognizing substance abuse, developing emotional regulation skills, implementing prevention curriculum, and more.
Conferences for Professionals
BELA Recovery plans to collaborate with area insitutions of higher education to offer conferences and other educational opportunities for professionals to develop skills, network with others interestd in recovery and earn continuing education credits (CEUs).
Consultations & Technical Support
BELA Recovery staff can consult with leaders of local education, community and professional groups to develop strategic plans for addressing and integrating substance use prevention programs and supports in their organizations.
